ADHD or Creativity?
Whether you call it “can’t pass up a shiny object syndrome,” call yourself a “social butterfly” or you use the medical term Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, the challenges are much the same.
• You do things that really require your thought, without thinking.
• You’re pulled away from activities that need your attention because you can’t suppress the urge to check out the next cool thing.
• You feel like once you get going you can’t stop. Or, if you do stop, you know starting up again will require a great deal of effort.
• Sometimes, it’s like you’ve got one foot on the brake and one foot on the accelerator at the same time.
• Sometimes you’re experience may be like the “little engine that could,” except you think you can, you think you can, until you think you can’t.
The impact is similar as well. Access to all the potential you have continues to stay in sight. Too often, it’s precariously out of reach.
You’ve achieved what you have because you’re smart and resourceful. Those attributes and many others – such as being creative, outgoing, charming and engaging – have kept you out of serious trouble, or helped you get out of fixes you’ve faced. It’s fortunate we have those gifts, isn’t it?
But have you ever stopped to think what life might be like if you didn’t have to struggle with “shiny syndrome” behavior?
Using a combination of play, tele-whatevers, retreats, group coaching, and well-illustrated e-books, Cathy Jantzen is your guide as you dive into your world. You’ll explore, discover and reclaim your natural self.
Most importantly, you’ll also learn how to be true to your nature in a world that tends to chew us up and spit us out along with others who doesn’t comply with what’s expected. You’ll learn to do that and function exceptionally, without the pain and suffering you remember all too well.
It doesn’t matter what you call it. Attention deficit disorder is only a diagnosis. You are so much more than that. ADHDventures empowers highly sensitive women, by challenging limitations and unveiling possibilities. ADHDventures empowers women to break through the myths, misinformation and barriers that have, until now, kept access to all of your potential, just out of reach.
