New Year Resolutions- Counting down 8 days to a killer start in 2009
Here we are on the 8th day to 2009.
Yesterday you came up with the New Years Resolution that will have the greatest impact on your life. And, what we’re creating together is an approach to your success in that. This is huge. Good for you. And, congratulations to you for taking the time now to go through these steps. It shows the commitment you have to yourself and those you love. (If you haven’t been counting down from 10, no worries. You can start at the beginning and get caught up by clicking here).
I’ve got two activities for you today. They’re listed below. The first one you’ll need to take some time to consider. And, then, just like you have the past two days and for the same reasons, write your answers down. The second is to read and then test out right now. And, then practice it at least through the end of the year. Now is an especially great time to practice. It’s a great exercise to use whenever you get revved up. And, it’s especially useful when things around you are revved up.
And, we’re at “EIGHT.”
1) Think about this choice you’re making.
- Chances are the change you’ve chosen when accomplished will save you some resources. How will this choice give you the opportunity to use them more successfully. Or, how will it give you more?
- What meaning is there for you. What core value of yours is this choice an expression of. What will it mean to you when you achieve this goal. What will your life be like if you haven’t?
2) Make sure that whatever it is you do, that you are in choice.
- When you begin to feel like an activity has taken you over, when you’ve become mindless about what your doing. Stop. Take a breath. Practice this right now. Slooooowwly breath in. Hold it just for a moment. Then, like your were blowing through a straw, exhale even slower through your mouth. Then,
- Ask yourself the following question, “Is what I’m moving toward or away from you goals.”
